Food Holidays: January

We love food. And when you love food, you’re always looking for an excuse to eat something wonderful. Enter the food holiday. Whether it’s National Cheese Lover’s Day (January 20th according to or National Curried Chicken Day (January 12th), there’s always a reason to celebrate food and make something delicious. Here’s the January roundup of food holidays we’re embracing this month, plus our recommendations for the best ways to celebrate with a Chef’d meal. Yum.

Scallops with Spaghetti

January 4th: National Spaghetti Day

There are few things more satisfying than a big bowl of spaghetti, and National Spaghetti Day (January 4th) is the perfect excuse to make and enjoy some of this most classic pasta. Our Scallops with Spaghetti pair the noodles with sweet, plump scallops in a tarragon lemon sauce.

Black Bean Stew

January 6th: National Bean Day

Beans are a great way to make a vegetarian dish hearty and filling. On National Bean Day (January 6th), try our Black Bean Stew from Vegetarian Times – it's chock full of bright, beautiful veggies and and is served with warmed flour tortillas.

Firecracker Wings

January 16th: International Hot and Spicy Food Day

Nothing celebrates International Hot and Spicy Food Day (January 16th) like a big pile of hot and spicy chicken wings. Our Firecracker Wings bring the heat and are a perfect party food (tip: marinate the wings overnight for extra flavor!).

New England Clam Chowder

January 21st: National New England Clam Chowder Day

There's something incredibly soothing about soup in a bread bowl, and our New England Clam Chowder from Spoon Fork Bacon is the perfect way to celebrate National New England Clam Chowder Day (January 21st).

Shrimp and Grits

January 22nd: National Southern Food Day

On National Southern Food Day (January 22nd), there's no dish more appropriate than shrimp and grits. Our version by Fabio Viviani is a customer (and staff) favorite and takes this Southern staple to a new level with Parmesan and asparagus.
